About Me

Sharing is caring!

Hello there!

My name is Kassie (Kassandra if you want to be formal!). Welcome to my blog, I’m so glad you stopped by! Here’s what you should know about me:

First, I love Jesus and serving Him is my life’s highest calling.

Second, being a mother has changed my whole world in the best way possible!

Third, being a speech-language pathologist to wee littles is my passion!

I’m good at relating to you as a mom while also giving you real, practical advice for you and your little people! All of my posts will be about young children. Some will be general toddler and baby things, many will be speech and language tips, and some might just be mom stuff. The goal is that every one of them will be encouraging, instructive, and easy to read!

I got my undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in communication disorders in 2013. I went on to the wonderful University of Nebraska-Lincoln for my master’s in speech-language pathology and graduated in 2015. I have since worked in an elementary school (pre-k through 6th grade) and for the early development network in Omaha Public Schools. I enjoyed my work in the elementary school, but I really found my passion working with very young children- birth to three years old. Since having my own children (the two most beautiful little girls to walk/crawl this earth!), I have learned so much and my perspective has shifted drastically. I hope you will find my experience as a mom and my expertise as an SLP helpful and relatable!

I decided to start this blog thing for lots of reasons, but one of the main reasons is because I frequently have friends, family, and acquaintances asking me about their child’s development! And in all of that, I realized that I absolutely love helping anybody and everybody with their kids!

Oh and just for kicks, here are 10 fun facts about me:
